Tamar block is one of the twenty administrative blocks of Ranchi district, Jharkhand state, India. This block consists of a famous temple "devdi mandir". We read in many newspapers that everytime the cricket star Mahendra Singh Dhoni comes to Ranchi he has to visit the temple. This temple is about 60 k.m. from Ranchi on Ranchi-Jamshedpur highway.
